What this app does

Smart Inventory Alerts is a Shopify application that monitors product inventory, predicts stockouts based on sales velocity, and sends alerts to merchants before products run out.

Data we collect

When you install the app, we store the following for your store:

• Store identifier (myshopify.com domain) and an API access token
• Product titles, IDs and current inventory levels
• Aggregated sales figures derived from order line items and dates (units sold per product per day), used solely to calculate sales velocity
• Your notification preferences (alert email address, quiet hours, thresholds)
• A history of the alerts the app has sent you

We do not collect, store or process customer personal information. Customer names, emails, phone numbers and addresses are never read or retained by the app.

How we use data

Data is used exclusively to provide the app's functionality: predicting stockouts and delivering inventory alerts to you. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it for profiling.

Third-party services

• Resend — used to deliver alert emails to the address you configure. Only the recipient address and alert content are transmitted.
• Hosting & database providers — the app and its database run on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Data retention & deletion

All of your store's data is deleted automatically when you uninstall the app. We also honour Shopify's GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact); since the app stores no customer personal data, customer requests require no further action, and shop deletion requests remove all remaining store data.
